I’m interested in why it seems that some players, like Miley and Linda, never get minutes. I can understand that they might not be there yet, but if they never play how will they ever get there?

Don't seem to fit into Bev's system, but I'd like to see them get some minutes to get a sense of who they are on the pitch. Of course, I'm not seeing what they're seeing at practice, but I'd had high hopes for more rotation that we haven't seen yet this season.

Coach Bev does use subs a lot more than Coach Kim it seems, which is good. But the problem with lack of rotation is that star players get tired/injured/carded there’s not enough players with sufficient experience to fill in. There also a lack of dimension to our playing tactics.

You give hope when you say Racing is formidable when firing on all cylinders. The slow starts make me wonder about their locker room mood right before the start of game. Are they too tense or too relaxed? Either way they would not be appropriately focused to perform at their best.

It's impossible to tell about the locker room. I think I'm being a bit overly generalistic when I say they had a slow start to Gotham because for the first 10 minutes or so I thought Racing did quite well and both teams were evenly matched. They then got systematically broken down and never really recovered. Angel City can be a hangover and nerves after Gotham plus the fact they were playing at 10 PM ET against a team salivating for a win after a string of bad results and a game over the weekend they, ACFC, felt they should have won. If Racing comes out slow again, there's going to be a real problem. Maybe they're overthinking things, maybe they're not thinking enough. Either way, it's clear there's some serious disconnect in moving the ball forward and, if you read my tweets, Carson Pickett says more than anything it's just quality on the ball and players needing to be better. I'm glad to hear that players don't seem to be making any excuses.
